Short version: there is no account, and your photos never leave your device. Here is the detail.
Your photos and designs
The editor draws your poster inside your own browser. Photos you add are read locally and are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. Your design — the text, colours and settings — is saved in your browser's local storage so you can close the tab and come back to it. We cannot see it, and it is removed if you clear your browser data.
What we do collect
- If you buy Pro: your email address (so we can send the key), the amount, currency and transaction reference. For UPI payments we also store the UTR you type in and any screenshot you choose to attach.
- When you activate a key: a short random identifier for that browser, so one key cannot be used on unlimited devices. It is generated locally and is not linked to any advertising profile.
- Technical data: IP address and browser user-agent, used for security and rate limiting on the payment and activation pages only.
We do not collect anything at all if you simply use the free editor and never buy.
Payment details
Card, UPI and net banking details are handled entirely by Cashfree on their own page and never reach our servers. If you pay by direct UPI instead, you pay from your own app and we only see the reference you give us.
Who we share data with
- Cashfree Payments — our payment processor, subject to their own privacy policy. They receive your email address and payment details in order to take the payment and send your receipt.
- Hostinger — our web host, where the site and the small orders database live.
- Google AdSense — only if advertising is enabled on the site; ads are not shown inside the editor.
We do not sell personal data.
Cookies and local storage
We set one essential session cookie on the checkout and admin pages. The editor uses your browser's local storage to remember your design, your Pro unlock and your device identifier. None of it is transmitted to us.
How long we keep things
Order and licence records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require, and so we can re-send a key you have lost. Payment screenshots are deleted once the order is verified.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email support@birthdaypostermaker.com from the address you bought with and we will action it within 30 days. Deleting your order record also deactivates the licence key attached to it.
Children
The editor is safe for anyone to use, but purchases must be made by an adult.
